British Friday - La Collins Royal Ascot edition

When you're Joan Collins, giant shoulders are always in style.

From 2009 - the server couldn't have known it at the time, but she was moments away from being dunked in a lily pond.

Happy Picard Day - Engage!

I've never been a huge Trek fan, but I think we can all agree on the general awesomeness that is Patrick Stewart and John-Luc Picard.
Captain Picard Day is celebrated on June 16th because it is the equivalent date to Stardate 47457.1, mentioned in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode entitled The Pegasus. In that episode, Captain Picard Day is an occasion for the Enterprise to host schoolchildren and show them what Starfleet is like.

Celebrate accordingly - it's for the children.

British Friday, Part of the Second: Cheesehead Edition

Cordon Bleu trained chef Tanys Pullin, 46, spent 90 hours crafting it out of a 1,322lb block of Farmhouse Cheddar. She carved the sculpture in the shape of a crown to mark the anniversary of the Queen's Coronation on June 2. credit: Apex
